THE COMPANY

Our bakery "Artos & Gefsi" (Bread & Flavor) is located at the centre of the Chora, Folegandros since 1993, providing our customers daily with fresh bread and bakeries. In our store you will find a wide variety of cookies, cracker and cakes as well as many traditional products such as:
  • The local seedcakes of Folegandros made with aniseed and sesame.
  • The traditional currant bread "lazaraki".
  • Local cookies "methismena", made of wine
Local pies:
  • "Manouropita", cheese pie with two kinds of cheese (manoura and mitzithra from Folegandros), made with traditional paste.
  • "Kalasouna or kaltsouni", a pie made of local cheese souroto and onions with traditional paste.
  • "Melopita", sweet pie with mitzithra and honey.
Local sweets:
  • "Karpouzenia", traditional sweet with watermelon and honey.
  • The traditional "pasteli of Folegandros".
