Dreams come alive in the Cyclades

Mykonos is the most famous Island in the Eastern Mediterranean and certainly the most cosmopolitan among the Cyclades. Mama's Pension, located at 2km North of the main port, CHORA, overlooking the bay and the sun bathed beach of Agios Stefanos (Saint Stephan), makes one of your best choices regarding accommodation.

In Mama's pension you can enjoy a relaxing holiday. Mama and Papa, helped by their son Kostas and their daughter in law Christina, open their home and their hearts to every guest, at the same time making sure that everybody is well taken care of.

If you fancy some refreshments before heading to the beach there is a restaurant with swimming pool just next door that is owned by one of Mama's sisters.

Getting to and from town is easy too ... A regular bus service runs every 30 minutes and the bus stop is 3 just minutes away (down by the beach). Or if you prefer, there are numerous bike and car rentals all over the island

Mama is very proud to be a Mykonian who was born and raised in the middle of this rocky island with it's wondrous and charming history.
Christina speaks fondly of the beginnings of their business many years ago, when Mama and Papa first opened up their house to holiday makers. Mama's name is actually Marsoyla, but the soon forgetting traveler who never remember this are invited to call her Mama; and Mama Marsoyla is very proud to call them all her children.

Papa used to be a fisherman in his younger years. His catch, consisting of fish and octopus, was for the family table, never to be sold. His sons learnt their father's trade and keep the tradition going, while Papa sits on his terrace with his bad leg enjoying the company of his beautiful grand daughters.
There is alot of energy emanating from the people inhabiting this island. It definitely tells of their rich history and vibrant traditions.
