A traditional Cycladic family house, with amazing sea views, situated on Acrotiri, a promontory, in Megas Gialos, on the island of Syros.
Our villa is located in a quiet area away from main roads. Balconies & terraces with sea & garden views surround the property. Apart from couples or groups of friends who wish to get away from it all, the house is ideal for families with older children.
There are 4 double bedrooms (some with single beds & private balconies),1 bathrooms plus an outside shower room with WC, a kitchen/dining room equipped with seating for up to 8 people, a dishwasher, large fridge, cooker with oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, crockery for 12 diners or more, etc, and a garden offering dining opportunities under the shade of mature olive & fig trees. The living space is decorated with original artworks (but no Picassos, unfortunately) greek handicrafts & a variety of books & maps.
We will be available for any requests (within reason!) you may have plus detailed knowledge of the island, tavernas, banks, supermarkets, shops & so on, also a house phone is provided and contacts with essential services, like the local hospital.
There are 2 lovely beaches within 5 minute walking distance also swimming from the rocks just below the house. Nearby you can find several tavernas by the seaside. There is a small supermarket just a short walk from the villa.
Bus stops are situated about 200 meters from the property with a half hourly bus service to Hermoupolis, villages & other beaches from June until September. After September, we recommend hiring a car as the bus service is greatly reduced. Parking & WiFi is available on site & pick up from the port/airport, even car hire, can be arranged by the owner.
Guests are greeted by us on arrival plus a complimentary welcome pack of local products, water, milk, etc is provided. Please feel free to use the telescope & binoculars to drink in the amazing unique location, flora & fauna also the spectacular night sky.
Pets are welcome & smoking allowed only in outside areas. Please try your best to leave the property as you found it.
