THE COMPANY
The "Plakes" restaurant is located in an elevated position overlooking Chora Serifos, traditional windmills and the Aegean Sea. It features stone-built verandas where you can enjoy your dinner by selecting the local and traditional recipes of the island. You will have the chance to try local roasted sun ‘louza’ from local pork and spices, as well as baked chickpeas with laurel and rosemary by the grandmother of the owner. You can also taste a local, roasted goat cooked in the saucepan in tomato sauce with dry onions and fresh herbs, accompanied perfectly by spaghetti. Do not miss the chance to try some traditional fried fennel balls with fresh herbs! Fresh, pure, local products, extra virgin olive oil from Serifos, local capers and vegetables from their garden are selected for the preparation of the food. In addition, delicious, fresh meat, Serifo’s dry cheese and ‘Xynomyzithra’ (fresh soft cheese from Serifos) are used. Your dinner can be accompanied perfectly by traditional wine and Serifo’s liquor made by owner’s family.
