THE COMPANY
Under the protection and preservation of traditional products of the island, the modern creamery of Ios in compliance with all health requirements of national and European legislation, produces traditional milk products with quality.
The creamery of Ios (Tirokomio Iou) was constructed by the municipality Iiton and began operation in 2007.
The premises of our creamery plant located above St. Theodoti and next to the main road to Psathi and Manganari (just before the junction for Manganari). The location was chosen to be close to the flocks of sheep so the farmers who supply milk to the creamery will be able to deliver milk easily and directly to avoid detraction of the quality of milk.
Upon the milk delivery until the cheese production less than 24 hours are spend in order not to alter the characteristics of products. The success of our dairy products comes exclusively due to the fresh milk of Ios and the fact that there is no use of additional preservatives and colorings.
