Franco's cafe on the top of Pyrgos hill, amongst the fascinating ruins of the Venitian fortress of the 13th century, has fantastic views over the island and its caldera. Thanks to its location this place is out of the bustling crowd, fact which makes it so quiet and romantic.
The owner - Franco S. Colombo - in 1979 had created in Firà, a famous coffee-bar which had been featured twice by Newsweek-International, amongst the "World's Best Bars". His partner Dimitris, is one of his former barmen and his knowledge in making aperitifs and cocktails is great. Our guest book is full of flattering words.
Beside Aperitifs, Cocktails and Wines, Franco's Cafè-Pyrgos serves Coffee, Light Food, Mezedes, Desserts and Ice Creams. It is open every day, between April and October (10am:10pm/low season and 10am:01am /high season).
