Our aim
The presentation of the circle of life and activities of the traditional farm family of Andros, witch lived through by carrying out sorts of tasks for its self-preservation, as well as the description of its customs. A major part of this project was financed by developmental programmes of the European Union via Hellenic Ministry of Rural Development and Food. Quiet important was the contribution of the Cyclades Development Agency, “An.Et.Ky”.
Location
At Cape CAVO STARA of Andros, one of the most beautiful areas of our motherland, we have created with much love a multipurpose space for the visitor to enjoy.

The travelogue and view of the nearby areas is enchanting, starting from villages Pitrofos, Messaria, Vakoni, Menites, Lamyra, Strapourgies, Mesathouri, Ypsilou, Stenies, Apikia, continuing with evergreen valleys, reaching Chora with lovely bays and the Venetian Fortress, Fanari, the Statue of “Afanis Naftis”, the beautiful Stadium and the spectacular beach of Lidi (ornament for Greek).
Traditional tastes
Having in mind that local cuisine gives a different taste to your vacation and entertainment, we constantly try to present to you different tastes at very low prices. All tastes come from pure products of the land of Andros, without preservatives, grown with abundant spring waters, the mild Cycladic climate and salty sea. The recipes are part of our grandmother’s heritage. The local “fourtalia”, stuffed vine leaves, fried meatballs, the traditional “tigania” and “lampriatis”, vegetables and others, are served accompanied by varieties of local, wines, produced within a spirit of family consumption, not for trade.
Alternative tastes
Beneath a natural cave (rock), we have created a barbecue facility, where visitors can enjoy their own “booty”. Fishermen can grill his catch by his own, and so hunters with turkeys and jackrabbits.

Our Tradition
Come with us to revive the traditions and customs of our homeland. Let’s give the appearance of celebration and festivity to several rural works witch vanished through time, by noticing numerous old agricultural implements and household equipment. “Choirosfagia”, the festivity of wine and raki, the celebration of “Alonis” and much more. Come and enjoy our events as you would visit an old photograph exhibition through which you can see patterns, clothing and customs of the residents of

Our facilities are available for professional or collective meetings, but also for all kinds of social events, such as weddings, christenings etc., since next to us is located the church of the Holy Monastery, at CAVO STARA. Of course we can revive, upon arrangement, the unique traditional marriage of

On the western side of the estate you, along with your friends, can compete in some of our local games, such as the “tsounia”, “tzamoporta”, “volous” and “svoura”, and win the prize, witch is one bottle of wine with snack, raki or beer. At the main courtyard you can race with strip and win the same prizes. For those who love walking, there is the possibility of a beautiful stroll to the helipad. Continuity, being equipped with a hut and fresh water, you reach Dipotamata through the old road Chora – Syneti (Pathway n.3) and enjoy the famous Watermills. We, ourselves, for this particular root, have the most traditional way of transfer, which is with little donkeys.
A children's playground is also provided in CAVO STARA, where children can handle with a variety of activities of their age, while those accompanying them can enjoy a hot drink during winter time or cool tastes in the summer. We even take after the organizing of birthday parties or other children's events.
