The alchemist of AMORGAIA searched his philosophers stone at natures' paths and followed its example, taking care that the ingredients of the magic recipe of AMORGAIA are mixed harmonically, in order for the taste to seduce the mind and revitalize the heart, as a genuine elixir of youth. During the ancient times, people of Amorgos and the nearby islands used to produce this traditional liqueur exactly with the same pattern that we do with AMORGAIA.
AMORGAIA is offered at weddings and christenings with the company of our traditional "pasteli", decorated on lemon tree leaves. This custom continues to take place at all major events of the year, like the pasteli festivity at Chora and Catapola. The monks of the islands' monastery also offer it to its guest, with the company of turkish delights. This traditional liqueur also goes ideally with figs, pasteli and raisin, and is considered to be an excellent digestive. During wintertime it is sipped warm, but in summertime you will enjoy it cold. AMORGAIA is a 100% natural product, with no use of preservatives.
