FOLEGANDROS (ANO MERIA)
At Folegandros island, since the old days, the basic treat for marriages or baptisms was the traditional "pasteli". No wedding sugared almonds were given as usual, and this custom continues to this day. So, we thought, why such a fine sweet should wait to be tasted only in marriages or christenings?
The implementation of this idea helped our parents Despina and Apostolos, two of the Island’s greatest masters of pasteli. Pasteli is manufactured in the traditional way, without the use of machines. Our workshop is located at Ano Meria of Folegandros. So, once we get to the beautiful Folegandros, all you have to do is get here and taste this fantastic traditional pasteli.Apostolos - Despina
