The Chamber provides to its member-businesses reliable management of all legal affairs, such as: registration, deletion, changes, pre-approval of company names and distinctive titles, pre-registration, general use certificates, historic member certificates, publication in the General Commercial Register (GEMI), certificates of changes, notification of auctions and a lot more, without unnecessary bureaucratic procedures.

The Chamber keeps and updates a Register of more than 20,000 member-businesses operating on the 24 Cycladic islands, in the manufacturing, commercial, services and tourism sectors.

It minimises the time required for setting up personal companies (OE, EE and IKE) through the One Stop Service (OSS).

It carries out research and studies, and makes proposals regarding business activity and the economic development of the area, in cooperation with reputable organisations.

It has fully equipped halls for meetings, workshops, events organised by entities, businesses and organisations, and also conferences, seminars and events regarding local entrepreneurship.

Digital Chamber

The Chamber operates local offices on 8 islands - Andros, Milos, Mikonos, Naxos, Paros, Santorini and Tinos - as integrated service provision hubs that provide services to its members on a daily basis, using staff that know the local market and needs.

The Chamber invests in latest technology infrastructure for interconnection/teleconference between the islands so as to be close to its members on all the islands, thus bridging insular distances.

During the pandemic, the Chamber extended its modern teleconference system by adding simultaneous audio-visual monitoring and active participation for up to 700 people between its offices/conference halls, using a digital platform that allows interconnection of an additional 1000 remote points, simultaneous participation and interaction between businesspeople located on all 24 islands and from any place.

It organises Safety Technician seminars that are necessary for employers that employ staff and wish to fulfil the tasks of a Safety Technician, and thus decrease the operating expenses of their businesses.

It offers special entrepreneurial development and skill improvement seminars in the areas of communication, digital marketing, strategy and cost management, sales, customer service, electronic commerce, coaching and stress management, bartending and barista, promotion and exploitation of unique Cycladic agri-food.

The Chamber cooperates with high level speakers who have experience in and knowledge of each sector and topic. This training is provided to its members at special preferential prices, thus ensuring validity and reliability.

The Chamber has signed Memorandums of Cooperation with recognised institutes and entities of higher education, such as the University of Piraeus and the Agricultural University of Athens, in view of implementing the above training programmes and designing new ones, according to the needs of each season.

At the beginning of the pandemic, in particular, in order to respond quickly to the new conditions and needs of the business community, 14 interactive webinars were organised immediately, through teleconferencing, in order to deal with Covid-19. The webinars were attended by 22,500 participants. Thus, one out of 6,500 members were trained in the use of the digital platform and 8,500 health and safety certificates, which are necessary for opening a business, were issued.

Aegean Cuisine

The Chamber organises numerous actions aimed at connecting primary production with food service establishments, in order to promote the gastronomic richness of our islands. Aegean Cuisine is the spearhead. It is a network of member-businesses and its objective is to promote the local produce and gastronomy of the Cyclades, as well as gastronomic tourism. It is a model network whose members include food service establishments, producers and traders that have been awarded the widely recognised authentic Aegean Cuisine label, based on local inspections and specially designed quality standards.

The vision of the Cyclades Chamber of Commerce is to offer visitors qualitative integrated gastronomic experiences based on the Aegean Cuisine network. Through this network, visitors will be informed about and embrace the products of the Cycladic Islands, seek them out and communicate the gastronomic richness and culture of the Cyclades and the Aegean.
